Horizontal Scroll
The
Horizontal Scroll
function controls how fast the echoes shall travel across the
Inspection views.
•
Vertical Reference
During operations in a vertical view you may wish to focus on the echoes in the
upper or lower part of the view. Use
Vertical Reference
to hide a part of the view.
When the function is activated, the vertical range depends on the physical height of
the view. A taller view gives you a larger visible depth range while the size of the
removed range is reduced.

Information Pane Options
The SN90 offers several information panes to provide additional and detailed data
from the SN90 presentation. The information panes are opened and closed using the
buttons on the top bar. Several of the information panes are fitted with a
Setup
button.
Select
Setup
to open the
Information Pane Options
dialog box. Use the
Information
Pane Options
dialog box to change the operating parameters for the data provided in
the information panes. The
Information Pane Options
is only available in Inspection
views.

Size Distribution
The Size Distribution information pane shows a histogram of the echoes detected
from single fishes. The calculations are based on the fact that different fish species
have different echo strength. The echo strength also depends on the operating
frequency you use. Use the
Size Distribution
page to define the properties for the
histogram shown in the Size Distribution information pane.

Fish Position
The Fish Position information pane shows the position of the detected single fish
echoes. The current ping (largest circles) and the three previous ping (smaller
circles) are shown. The view is "from above". The colours indicate the echo
strength.

Bottom Detection
The purpose of the
Bottom Detection
parameters are to define the upper and lower
depth limits most likely to be used during the SN90 operation.
