Arbor Disassembly - Early Model Arbors
1. Grip the blade adapter in a soft jaw vise. Remove
the cap screw securing the drive pulley to blade shaft
(Figure 13).
2. Remove the cap screw, lock washer, heavy washer,
pulley and upper grass shield (Figure 13).
3. Remove the arbor from the vise. Using a small screw
driver remove the collar from the blade end of the
arbor shaft (Figure 14).
4. Remove the blade adapter, lower grass shield, and
shim washer from the blade end of the arbor shaft
(Figure 14).
5. From the bottom of mower deck, remove the six
Taptite hex screws retaining the spindle flange to the
mower deck.
6. Remove the arbor assembly from the deck.
