8.1. General maintenance
- Keep the VolumION clean and dry.
- Clean dirty emitter points with a hard non-metallic brush.
- Regularly clean any filters fitted. Replace filters when necessary.
- Regularly check the connection cables for damage.
- The ball bearings in the VolumION do not need lubricating and have a minimum working life
of 30,000 hours. With uninterrupted operation, the minimum working life is 30 months.
See 10.2 if the ball bearings have to be replaced.
8.2. Cleaning the inside of the air duct and anti-static bars
Figure 8: Opening anti-static bars
Figure 9: Front plate position
- Turn the two screws on the front of the VolumION a quarter turn to the left. The front plate is
now unlocked.
- Remove the front plate from the air duct.
- Carefully rotate the anti-static bars out of the air duct by pulling the isolator as shown
in figure 8. The end of the high-voltage cable must remain in the air duct during this process.
- Clean the air duct, the front plate and the anti-static bars with isopropyl alcohol.
- Use Veconova 10 for stubborn date (see www.eco-nova.nl for information).
- Allow the VolumION to dry fully.
- Rotate the anti-static bars carefully back into the air duct and make sure that the isolators are
firmly locked in the four holes of the air duct.
- Fit the front plate on the air duct. The front plate must be positioned so the emitter points are
in the middle of the holes. See figure 9.
- Turn the two screws a quarter turn to the right so the front plate is firmly fastened to the air
duct.
