The number and capacity of the volumes in your storage array depends on the type of
controller in the storage array. The following table lists the maximum number of
volumes in a storage array that each controller model supports.

NOTE
The maximum volume size is limited by the size of the drives and the
configuration of the storage array. The last 512 MB on each drive is reserved for
storage array configuration database and potential future expansion. For practical
considerations, you want to constrain the maximum volume size so that drive
replacement and volume reconstruction does not take an excessive amount of time.
