3: System Board

Installing a Memory Module

To install a DIMM, align it to an empty slot and press it in until the holding clips secure
the DIMM in place, as shown in Figure 3-5.

The DIMM socket is slotted to ensure proper installation. If you attempt to install

a DIMM, but it does not completely fit, you may have inserted it the wrong way. Reverse
the orientation of the DIMM.
