Battery replacement and power-on/off EC RTD.2
When the
symbol appears on the display, the batteries need to be replaced. This device
is powered by two AA batteries (LR6).
CAUTION! Electric current!
To avoid electrical shock or personal injury:
Remove any test leads from the device before opening the battery compartment.
Close and latch the battery cover before using the device.
CAUTION! Observe the battery type and polarity!
Damage can be caused if a different type of batteries is used or the batteries are incor-
rectly inserted during replacement.
Use only fresh batteries of the same type (LR6 - AA).
Pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting.
NOTICE!
Remove the batteries if the instrument will not be used for a long time.
Comply with the following instructions when replacing the batteries (see figure 4-1):
Switch off the device and remove
any test leads from the terminals.
Lift the tilt stand on the back.
Remove the battery compartment
door by using a Phillips head screw-
driver.
Remove the old batteries.
No domestic waste!
The batteries must be disposed of.
Insert two new batteries.
!!! Pay attention to the POLARITY !!!
Reinstall the battery compartment
lid by ensuring that battery termi-
nals touch the unit’s contact points
and snap into place.
Tighten the screw of the battery compartment door.
