7.1.1 Emergency lid release
In the event of a power failure, it is possible to manually open the centrifuge
lid.
• Switch off the mains power switch and disconnect the power cord from
the socket.
• Remove the plugs (see figure, item 1) at the right side panel, e.g. with a
screw driver.

• Insert the supplied tube wrench (part no. 930 110) horizontally into the
hole. The key will be guided through a funnel-shaped tube to the shaft
of the lid lock motor.

• Unlock the motorized lid locks by turning it clockwise.
• Then, reinsert the plugs.
WARNING
The lid may only be unlocked and opened when the rotor is at a standstill.
If the lid is opened with the emergency lid release during operation, the
centrifuge will be switched off immediately and decelerate without brake.
