Li-Ion battery transport.
Air transport of Li-Ion batteries or equipment with installed Li-Ion
batteries are regulated as dangerous goods by IATA and UN
The shipping operator may also have their own regulations.
The shipper is always responsible for the transport and its documentation.
Regulations are updated annually or more often.

Transport of C12 with batteries installed:
•
Set the C12 in “monitoring off” during air transport.
•
Make sure that the equipment is packed in such a way that the
instrument doesn’t start up during transport.
•
Use original packaging material, an INFRA C1x transport case
(see chapter 8 Accessories) or similar.
A battery identified as being defective by safety means:
•
Transport by Air is
prohibited
according to the IATA Special Provision
A154.
•
Follow safety instruction for Li-Ion batteries in the beginning of this
manual.
•
Call Sigicom for consultation before any transportation.
Note! Worn out batteries are forbidden in air transport.
