Inhibit Sending of Transient Files
It is possible to inhibit the sending of transient files to the data server.
This can be made by using ‘CompactFlash config’ in INFRA Net
Manager, or by placing a configuration file named ‘transientmode.txt’ in
the directory ‘config’ on the CompactFlash. The first row in this file
controls the modes:
‘0’ gives normal mode.
‘1’ no transient files are uploaded. They are instead saved
in /data/export.
‘2’ the same as for ‘1’, but no connection to the FTP server
is made after the transient(s).
If ‘1’ or ‘2’ is chosen, the files stored in ‘/data/export’ can later be
uploaded to the server using ‘Send local data to the FTP server’ in INFRA
Net Manager.
6.2.
Time Synchronization through Internet
The C12 can be setup to synchronize its clock to an NTP (
N
etwork
T
ime
P
rotocol) server on Internet. SNTP according to RFC 4330 is used. The
configuration file ‘ntpserver.txt’ defines the IP address or the host name of
the NTP server. If needed, the ‘ntpserver.txt’ file can be changed through
INFRA Net.
Sigicom is supplying an NTP service at ‘ntp.infra.sigicom.net’, which can
be written in the ‘ntpserver.txt’ file.
In monitoring off mode, time synchronization is performed after every
manual data server connection. In monitoring mode, time synchronization
is limited to once every 4 hours.
If the NTP server time differs more than 0.5 seconds from the internal
time, the internal time is adjusted. However, no adjustment will be done
during the following conditions:
