NOTICE
•
If you arrange the racks on top of one another, the fan subassembly in the top row must
always be switched on. The units are switched on/off by the user by means of a data
record. See Acyclic output data (Page 95).

When installing the frames above one another, a temperature derating of 10 °C must be
observed.
•
To control the fan subassembly in the top frame, at least one POM4220 must be
installed below.
Pollution degree
SIPLUS HCS4200 is designed for pollution degree 2. Pollution degree 2 is defined as follows
in the EN 50178 standard: In normal circumstances, only non-conductive pollution occurs.
However, conductivity can occur occasionally and temporarily due to condensation when the
device is not in operation.
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and overvoltage protection
NOTICE
Damage to the device
Inadequately dimensioned overvoltage protection can result in severe damage to the
device. Always ensure, therefore, that the overvoltage protection is adequate (see
Connecting the 24 V DC power supply (Page 48)Section).
