Installing operating system, software and drivers

7.4.1

Restoring or installing the operating system

Information on restoring or reinstalling the operating system you ordered with the device can

be found in the detailed operating system description, see "Important instructions and

manuals for operating the device (Page 11)".

7.4.2

Installing software and drivers

On the supplied USB stick (read only), you will find the "Documentation and Drivers" suite

which you can use to install all supplied software and drivers.

Procedure

1. Insert the provided USB stick into the device.
2. Start the "Documentation and Drivers" suite from the USB flash drive by executing the

"START_DocuAndDrivers.CMD" file.

3. Install the desired software and drivers.

7.5

Configuring firmware/BIOS

You can find information on configuring firmware/BIOS and on the firmware settings in the

delivery state in the "Firmware/BIOS description

Note
If your IPC does not boot, for example because a BIOS update crashed, contact your local

SIEMENS representative.
