Step 4: Download the Configuration to the Controller
Tool:
SIMATIC Manager (STEP 7)
Note:
The controller must be running in order to download the configuration
from STEP 7.
To download the configuration, follow these steps:
1. If the controller is not running, power it on.
2. In SIMATIC Manager, select the SIMATIC PC Station icon.
3. Select
the
PLC > Download
menu command or click the Download icon on the
toolbar.

Step 5 : Connect the Controller to the OPC server
Tool:
OPC Scout
Task Summary:

Create an OPC Project.
•
Add the connection to the SIMATIC NET OPC server.
•
Define the items to be accessed through the OPC server.

Creating an OPC Project
Select the
Start > SIMATIC >SIMATIC NET > OPC SCOUT
menu command to
create a new project in OPC Scout.
