System architecture

This configuration allows for integration of fire and intrusion detection systems.

Communication/connection

The NK823x is connected on the upstream side via BACnet/IP to MM8000 and/or
MK8000, and can act as a BACnet Broadcast Management Device (BBMD). In addi-
tion, the

NK823x

 can be configured as a BACnet Foreign Device for FS20/FS720.

NK823x has an integrated firewall and router supporting the dynamic routing protocol
Open Shortest Path First (OSPF).

The built in NK823x Web Server can be used for monitoring and diagnostic purposes.

FS20/FS720 can be connected via

NK823x

 (thus enabling non-EN-54

interactions with other subsystems) or directly to the management station level. In
both cases, BACnet/IP is applied.

On the downstream side the NK823x is connected via serial lines and/or via LON-bus
to a number of different fire & security control units.
