FO1/LWL1, FO2/LWL2:
The fibre–optic interfaces serve to connect a protection device
or any other device with serial interface. At these interfaces are transferred serial signals.
The optical properties, including the connection method, correspond to those of the FO
module (ST–connector, 820 nm), which must be connected in the protection device as
the active interface (s. Technical Data).
GOK (DR):
The device ready contact is routed to three device terminals. The drawing of
the terminals on Figure 17 shows the idle state. Under the following conditions the
DR–Contact gets active:
Internal power supply unit is in proper condition (Power–Fail signal is inactive).
Internal logic is in proper condition (RESET signal is inactive).
The E1 / T1 interface is connected and in service. The CC–2M is synchronized.
Power supply:
The auxiliary voltage must be applied at the 2-pole screw terminal
(DC 24 – 250 V, AC 115 – 250 V). The permissible values and tolerances can be found
in the Technical Data (Page 52). The grounding connection above must be connected to
the protective conductor (ground).
Connection Instructions
Screw terminals of the terminal blocks
The terminal screws are slotted screws that can be turned with a 0.3 × 3.5 or 0.6 × 3.5 mm
screwdriver.
The following connections are present (s. Figure 17):

Strip the connecting wires to a length of 9 mm, insert them into the screw terminals as far as
they will go in, and secure them so that they will not slip out while tightening the screw. After
tightening the screws, verify that the wires to the terminals are tightly connected.
