The task of the Communication Converter CC-2M is to perform an adaptation of the available
fibre optic active interface in the protection device to the physical specification of the
respective interface of the communication network. The adaptation occurs synchronously
and completely bit-transparent, i.e. direct forwarding of the information without adding or
filtering out information. Figure 18 shows the hardware and the interfaces.
The parameter assignment of the CC-2M is done via jumpers.
