1.4 Instruments Mode
The Instrument Mode sub-menu displays key quantities and information to aid with commissioning. The following
meters are available and are navigated around by using the
▲,▼and TEST/REST buttons. The text description
shown here is the default information. Depending upon the relay model you have, you may not have all of the
meters shown.
Instrument
Description
FAVOURITE METERS
→to view
This allows the user to view his previously constructed list of
‘favourite meters’ by pressing TEST/RESET
► button and the
READ DOWN button to scroll though the meters added to this sub-
group.
To construct a sub-group of favourite meters: first go to the desired
meter then press ENTER. This will cause a message to appear on
the LCD ‘Add To Favourites YES’. Pressing ENTER again will add
this to the FAVOURITE METERS Sub-menu.
To remove a meter from the FAVOURITE METERS sub-menu go
to the meter in the FAVOURITE METERS sub-menu or at its
Primary location and press ENTER. The message ‘Remove From
Favourites YES’ will appear. Press ENTER again and this meter
will be removed from the FAVOURITE METERS sub-group.
VOLTAGE METERS

This sub-group includes all the meters that are associated with
Voltage. TEST/RESET
► allows access to this sub-group.
Prim Voltage
VLine 0.00V
VBus 0.00V
Displays the Primary RMS value of the Line and Bus voltage.
Sec Voltage
VLine 0.00V
VBus 0.00V
Displays the Secondary RMS value of the Line and Bus voltage.
SYNC METERS

This sub-group includes all the meters that are associated with
Synchronising. TEST/RESET
► allows access to this sub-group.
Line Volts 0.0V
Bus Volts 0.0V
Line Freq 0.000Hz
Bus Freq 0.000Hz
Displays the Secondary RMS value of the Line and Bus Voltage
and the Line and Bus frequency.
Phase Diff 0.0Deg
Voltage Diff 0.0V
Slip Freq 0.000Hz
Displays the phase difference in degrees between the Line voltage
and the Bus voltage.
Displays the voltage difference between the secondary RMS Line
voltage and the secondary RMS Bus voltage.
Displays the slip frequency (rate at which the frequency of the Line
and Bus voltages are changing).
Sync Status & Mode
ChckSync, SysSync, DL DB, LL DB, DL
LB, LL LB, CS, SS, COZ, LO, No Seq
Displays an overview of the enabled Synchronising method and
the status of the Line and Bus Voltages.
Phase
CS IN, CS OUT, SS IN, SS OUT
Displays the CS and SS status relative to the system phase
difference.
Slip
CS IN, CS OUT, SS IN, SS OUT
Displays the CS and SS status relative to the system slip
frequency.
Line/Bus Status
DL, DB, LL, LB
Displays Line and Bus status information.
Volt Blocking
L-U/V, B-U/V or Volt-Diff
Displays the status of voltage blocking elements.
DEMAND METERS

This sub-group includes all the meters that are associated with
DEMAND. TEST/RESET
► allows access to this sub-group
