Function of this document
These operating instructions contain the information needed during the life cycle of the
driver assistance system.
They must be made available to all those who work with the driver assistance system.
Please read these operating instructions carefully and make sure that you understand
the content fully before working with the driver assistance system.

Scope
These operating instructions are included with SICK part number 8018167 (all
available languages).
1.3
Target group
These operating instructions are intended for the following target groups: planners,
developers, designers, installers, electricians, operators, and maintenance personnel.
The structure of these operating instructions is based on the life cycle phases of the
driver assistance system: project planning, mounting, electrical installation, commissio-
ning, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
In many applications, the target groups consist of the manufacturer and the operator of
the application in which the driver assistance system is integrated:
