Using the Controls
DISPLAY ON/OFF button
The DISPLAY ON/OFF button is
used to turn the mode screens and
on-screen indicators off. You can
turn the on-screen indicators back
on by pressing the DISPLAY ON/
OFF button again.

The CONTROL dial is used to adjust the
settings on the menu screen. The procedures
for adjusting the menu settings in this operation
manual are based upon the use of the touch-
screen operations. To adjust the menu settings
with the CONTROL dial, follow the rules below.
To turn the power off, set the POWER switch to
OFF without pressing the Lock button.
Note:
• The warning indicators and some other
indicators cannot be deliberately turned off.

To turn the power on, hold down the Lock
button and set the POWER switch to CAMERA
or VCR.

Turn the CONTROL dial (instead of
touching [
K
] or [
L
]) to select the
desired item.

Press the CONTROL dial (instead of
touching [SET]) to set the selected item.
By using the CONTROL dial, it is also possible
to operate the playback functions in TAPE-VCR
mode (see page 25) and in CARD-VCR mode,
and to adjust the settings on the manual
screens (see pages 59 to 66) through the
viewfinder. Turn the CONTROL dial to select
the item, and then press the CONTROL dial to
set the selected item.
