Remaining Tape Time Display

In TAPE-CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA mode, an
on-screen indicator displays the approximate
remaining tape time in minutes.
If you are using the LCD monitor, touch any
point on the LCD screen to display the
indicator.
Remaining Battery Power
Display

This camcorder supports an intelligent battery
function. When using the supplied intelligent
battery pack, an on-screen indicator displays
the remaining continuous operating time of the
battery pack in minutes based on the remain-
ing battery power.
If you are using the LCD monitor, touch any
point on the LCD screen to display the
indicator.
Notes:
• If the battery pack or DC cable are removed
from the camcorder and then reattached while
the camcorder has a cassette in it, the
remaining tape time indicator will not be
displayed. In this case, record for about
10 seconds to display the remaining tape time
indicator.
• The remaining tape time indicator only shows the
approximate time left. Also, it varies slightly
depending on the length of tape used. (This
function is based on the DVM60 tape standard.)
When the remaining tape time reaches
1 minute, a warning indicator will appear.

Notes:
•
The remaining operating time is displayed
about 30 to 60 seconds after setting the
POWER switch to CAMERA or VCR.
• Use the remaining battery power indicator only
as an approximate indication.
• Variations in the operational status of the
camcorder can greatly reduce or increase the
remaining operating time displayed.
• Use of the zoom functions when the warning
indicator is displayed may cause the camcorder
to suddenly lose power.
• When using the optional BT-L221 or BT-L441
battery packs which are not compatible with the
intelligent battery function, only the following
indicator will be displayed.
When the remaining operating time reaches
5 minutes, a warning indicator will appear.
Replace the battery pack.
