Adjusting the Hand Strap

Open the hand strap flap (

) and the
grip strap (

Draw the strap in the direction of the
arrow to secure.

To attach the other end of the strap to
the loop on the left side of the hand
strap, open the hand strap flap, and
perform the same procedure.

Seal the velcro fasteners of the grip
strap and the hand strap flap.

Loosen the grip strap, pass your right
hand through the loop, and put your
thumb on the REC START/STOP button
and your forefinger and middle finger on
the Power Zoom buttons. Then, pull the
grip strap tight until it fits snugly.
Caution:
• Do not swing the camcorder by the hand strap.
Attaching the Shoulder Strap

Hold one end of the strap and thread it
through the loop on the left side of the
power source connection panel.

Loosen the strap in the buckle, and feed
the end of the strap through the buckle,
as shown.
Using the Lens Hood
When recording outdoors on a sunny day or in
a location with bright lighting, attach the
supplied lens hood to the camcorder. Turn the
lens hood in the direction of the arrow to attach
it.
To remove it, turn it in the opposite direction.
Notes:
• The lens cap can still be attached on top of the
lens hood.
• Filters and other accessories cannot be attached
on top of the lens hood.
