Symbol speed
selection threshold 1
(Allowable range for
telephone line
characteristics
distortion level)
This factor determines which symbol rate is selected with respect to the
line distortion measured in line probing.
The characteristic is such that the smaller the value is, the lower the
symbol rate is set.
Setting can be made over the range of 0 (-6dB) to 15 (+6dB) in -1dB
increments by binary inputting (see below).
1: -6dBm, 2: -6dBm
3 - 14: -5dBm - 4dBm (1dBm increments)

(Minimum S/N
allowable range level)
This factor determines which symbol rate is selected with respect to the
S/N measured in line probing.
The characteristic is such that the larger the value is, the lower the
symbol rate is set
Setting can be made over the range of 0 (-6dBm) to 15 (+6dBm) in

Primary channel
communication speed
selection threshold
value
This sets the standard for determining speed in Phase-C by line probing
in Phase 2. -8dBm: Judgment becomes loose (easy to select high
speed), +7dBm: Judgment becomes harsh (difficult to select high
speed).
Setting can be made over the range of 0 (-8dBm) to 15 (+7dBm) in
1dBm increments by binary inputting.

High speed CD OFF
fixing time
This is used for looping when it is not possible to detect the end of RCP
and other high-speed signals during high-speed reception in the V.34
ECM mode.
Setting can be made over the range of 0 (150ms) to 15 (1650ms) in
100ms increments by binary inputting.

LVCS monitoring cycle
This is the cycle over which the resistor LVCS, which displays the line
current, is monitored.
When LVCS=0, the speaker is muted to prevent the abnormal sound.
