B. Special diagnostics mode
To execute the special diagnostics, the machine must enter the nor-
mal diagnostics mode first.
At the normal mode home position (with "PCU DIAG MODE XX"
displayed), turn on the LINE (ONLINE) key and the ENTER (SET) key
simultaneously, then turn off them, and the machine will enter the
special diagnostics mode.
Immediately after entering the special diagnostics mode (at the home
position), "PCU DIAG SPECIAL" is displayed.
To cancel the special diagnostics mode, return to the home position
with the MENU key (where "PCU DIAG MODE SPECIAL" is dis-
played), and press the FORM FEED (PAPER EXIT) key to return to
the normal mode home position (where "PCU DIAG MODE #" is
displayed).
Then press the FORM FEED (PAPER EXIT) key again to return to
the normal print mode.
(When "PCU DIAG SPECIAL" is displayed, the special mode items
can be selected with the MENU key.)
(1) The consumable parts counter value and the
error counter value can be checked.
Each color toner concentration level can be displayed.
Each color print density level can be displayed.
Time-out time can be displayed.
The above values can be set to desired values.

Use the MENU key to select the items of COUNTER SET2 XXX.
(When "PCU DIAG SPECIAL" is displayed, the special mode items
can be selected with the MENU key.)
The counter kind can be selected with the
v
key and the
w
key.
After selecting the counter kind, press the ENTER (SET) key to dis-
play the selected counter value.
Under this state, press the RESET key to return to the counter kind
selection mode.
When the counter value is displayed, use the
v
key and the
w
key to
change the counter value. To select the digit to change, use the
MENU key.
To register the changed counter value, turn on the manual paper feed
detector and press the FORM FEED (PAPER EXIT) key at the same
time.
Immediately after the counter value is changed, the display returns to
the counter kind selection mode.
