ENTERING INFORMATION AND SETTING
PROGRAMS (P101-P161)
When using the fax function, user programs from P101 to P161 allow you enter your fax number and name and to use
convenient functions. You can also change or cancel the settings of various fax functions.
Entering Information and Setting Programs

P101 DEPARTMENT CODE SETTING
Set to restrict the use of the fax function to certain departments. After setting this program, users must enter a 3-digit account
number to use the fax function, and the amount of time each department spends using the fax can be tracked. Up to 20 account
numbers may be entered. Initially, no account numbers are entered.
You cannot use account number 000.
When you enter P101, the following message is displayed.

Press the START key.

When selecting "1" to enable auditing

Press the "1" key.
DEPT. CODE SET
1=SET, 2=CLEAR

Press the "1" key.
ENTER DEPT. CODE

Enter the 3-digit account number using the numeric keys.

The hyphens in the display (-) change to numbers.

Press the START key.

The account number is set and the following message is displayed.
ENTER DEPT. NAME

If you enter an account number that has already been set, a message is displayed and you return to step 2. Enter a
new number.

Enter the department name using the character entry keys.

The name can contain up to 20 characters. For more information about entering characters, see section "HOW TO
ENTER CHARACTERS". (See page 2-37)
