6. Adjustment Procedure
6-1. VLS BIAS (15V) voltage adjustment
Go to [VLS BIAS] item with the cursor (

"
) keys and select the value with the cursor (

/

) keys.
Connect a digital voltage meter to TP4827 (TL4843) on the TOP LCD CONTROLLER PWB and adjust the
value with the cursor (
'
/
"
) keys to 15.00V
±
0.05V.
6-2. GRAY LEVEL (14.2V) voltage adjustment
Go to [GRAY LEVEL] item with the cursor (
'
/
"
) keys and select the value with the cursor (
\
/
|
) keys.
Connect a digital voltage meter to TP4501 (TL4501) on the TOP LCD CONTROLLER PWB and adjust a value
with the cursor (
'
/
"
) keys to 14.20V
±
0.05V.
Make sure to adjust the value accurately as this power supply voltage will be used as a reference voltage for
the gradation voltage.
6-3. COM BIAS adjustment
Go to the [COM BIAS] item with the cursor (
'
/
"
) keys and select a the value with the cursor (
\
/
|
) keys.
When the value is changed with the cursor (
'
/
"
) keys, the test pattern appears. Make an adjustment so that
the flicker in the center of the right or left half of the screen is minimized.
6-4. Background adjustment
Perform this adjustment when the white balance (W/B) extremely differs from the other units when replacing
the LCD panel or LCD CONTROLLER PWB.
1) Preparation
(1) White balance analyzer: Minolta CA-110
2) Adjustment procedure
(1) Activate the Display only and enter the "Adjust process mode" described in the item 3.
(2) Go to "PATTERN" with the cursor (
'
/
"
) keys. Press "OK" and go to "PATTERN PAGE2" with the cursor (
"
)
key.
(3) Adjust ADJ to 6 and press "OK".
(4) Set the 6th point (P6) to the designated gradation and adjust RGB to obtain the standard value for the 6th point.
(5) Set the 1st point (P1) to the designated gradation and calculate the G set value of the 1st point using the
following formula: G initial value of the 1st point x (G adjustment value of the 6th point/928) (rounding off
fractions). Then adjust RB to obtain the standard value of the 1st point.
(6) Set the 2nd point (P2) to the designated gradation and calculate the G set value of the 2nd point using the
following formula: G initial value of the 2nd point x (G adjustment value of the 6th point/928) (rounding off
fractions). Then adjust RB to obtain the standard value of the 2nd point.
(7) Set the 3rd point (P3) to the designated gradation and calculate the G set value of the 3rd point using the
following formula: G initial value of the 3rd point x (G adjustment value of the 6th point/928) (rounding off
fractions). Then adjust RB to obtain the standard value of the 3rd point.
(8) Set the 4th point (P4) to the designated gradation and calculate the G set value of the 4th point using the
following formula: G initial value of the 4th point x (G adjustment value of the 6th point/928) (rounding off
fractions). Then adjust RB to obtain the standard value of the 4th point.
