Shortly after placing the dough in the
waf
fl
e iron, the indicator light on the
temperature control shows red. The green
light will come on again once the baking
process is
fi
nished.
∙
To prevent damage to the non-stick
coating, do not use any sharp or pointed
objects to remove the food.
∙
Check the level of browning. Should the
waf
fl
e be too light or too dark, adjust the
temperature control or baking time.
∙
Place fresh dough into the waf
fl
e iron
immediately after removing the waf
fl
e.
∙
After use, remove the plug from the wall
socket and allow the appliance to cool
down with its cooking plates open.
Practical hints
∙
In order to maintain the crispness of the
waf
fl
es, place them next to each other
on a rack to cool. (Placed on top of each
other, the waf
fl
es will lose their crispness).
∙
If milk is used instead of water, the waf
fl
es
will be softer and darker.
∙
In order to achieve even browning,
all ingredients should be of the same
temperature.
Cleaning and care
∙
Before cleaning, remove the plug from the
wall socket and wait until the appliance
has cooled down with the cooking plates
open.
∙
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do
not clean the appliance with liquids or
immerse it.
∙
Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning
solutions.
∙
Clean the outside of the appliance with a
soft, slightly damp cloth only.
∙
The non-stick plates can be cleaned
with a soft damp cloth, a soft brush or a
sponge.
