Input/output configuration
This section details the procedures for configuring the gateway’s inputs and outputs (I/O) for Local
control and Remote control operation.
Defining the I/O control mode, I/O type and option card
1.
On the Aux Cfig tab select the Arrow beside the Aux Control: field.
2.
Specify the control mode for this gateway (Local or Remote).
3.
If the gateway includes an option card, specify the type (Input or Output).
4.
Use the 10 Aux Type radio buttons to set each I/O port as either an input or an output.
5.
Save the UCM configuration file and download the configuration changes to the gateway.

any head has a supervision condition
any head has lost communication with gateway
any head is reporting a fault condition
the gateway’s enclosure door is open
the gateway has an input power fault
the gateway has a hardware fault
changes state to indicate the gateway has lost power
select the Aux Cfig tab to setup the gateway’s inputs and outputs
select the control mode for the gateway’s I/O
specify the type of I/O option card, if applicable
configure the specified inputs
select the zone to activate when the input goes high
configure the specified outputs
Local control mode output relay functions:
use the arrows to scroll through the available inputs
the parameters listed below an input apply only to that input
use the arrows to scroll through the available outputs
the parameters listed below an output apply only to that output
specify the light level (brightness)
