The results may also be displayed in percent units (%), representing the volume of fluid in the
lung out of the total lung volume. The display range for the fluid content parameter is 15%
(low fluid content) to 60% (high fluid content). The normal lung fluid content ranges roughly
from 20% to 35%.
CAUTION:
The ReDS System fluid reading is intended to be used as an adjunct parameter to
standard clinical assessment methods
Step 6: Shutting Down the ReDS System*
*Perform the following only when the ReDS System is not going to be used for some time.
To shut down the ReDS System:

Briefly push the ON/OFF button and wait for the shutdown process to complete.

Unplug the Bedside Console from the power outlet.

Store the sensor vest, as described in the
Storage
section on page 84.
