With the vacuum fan system running, check the connections from the air system to the
disintegrator.
a.
Flex vacuum hose – make sure both ends are securely connected
b.
Communication cable – make sure this is fully connected

Look at the vacuum fan system control panel.
a.
Check if the drum indicator is illuminated. If it is, change the waste collection bag. See
Changing the Waste Collection Bag
, page
14.
b.
Check if the HEPA indicator is illuminated. If it is, change the HEPA filter. See
Changing the
HEPA Filter
, page 19.

Check the waste bag as it may be getting full, tripping the drum full sensor. The drum full sensor is
set to trip when the bag holds approximately 20 lb of waste material. Refer to
Changing the Waste
Collection Bag
, page
14, to change the bag.
If the Air System Fault indicator illuminated due to some other reason, contact SEM for assistance.
Current Relay
About the Current Relay:
This unit is designed to automatically reverse if the unit jams. The electrical
current relay controls this feature and is preset by the factory prior to shipping. However, power variations
can cause the unit to jam and not reverse. To correct this problem, the current relay may require a small
adjustment.
Tools and PPE Required:
5/32” Allen wrench
Small Philips head screwdriver
Accessing and Adjusting:
Note:
Press the
STOP
button before making any changes to the current relay.
Note:
The power does not need to be off for this adjustment.
1.
Remove the electrical panel front guard panel on the front left side of the disintegrator to expose the
current relay.
2.
Using the Phillips head screwdriver, turn the knob labeled

clockwise to the next tick mark.
