Replacement
Console Housing Removal and Installation
The
console
housing
contains
the
UIC
and
EMI
filter.
When to Replace
Replace
the
console
housing
if
(including
and
without
limitation):
•
It
is
cracked
or
otherwise
physically
damaged.
•
The
charge
port
gasket
is
damaged.
To remove console housing:
1.
Make
sure
Segway
PT
is
powered
off
and
unplugged.
2.
Remove
pivot
base
assembly
3.
Depending
on
revision,
use
T
‐
20
6
‐
lobe
wrench
or
3mm
hex
wrench
to
remove
(6)
screws
that
attach
base
plate
to
console
housing.

Remove
console
housing.
If the inserts or plastic are damaged, the console
housing must be replaced.
To install console housing:
1.
Make
sure
Segway
PT
is
powered
off
and
unplugged.

First-revision console housing cover parts are no
longer manufactured or supported. First-revision
components are not compatible with second-
revision components; similarly, second-revision
components are not backward compatible with
first-revision components. AS A RESULT, IF ANY
FIRST-REVISION CONSOLE HOUSING, GASKET,
OR COVER IS DAMAGED, THE COVER, GASKET,
HOUSING, AND TRIM MUST ALL BE REPLACED
USING THE CURRENT (SECOND) REVISION.
