‘Waiting for position’ seen on LRS unit
Possible cause
No position computed by external GPS unit
Solution
Check GPS antenna not obscured – confirm
position displayed on external GPS unit
Possible cause
Mismatch between 3000LRS unit and external
GPS unit
Solution
Ensure interface cable correctly wired. Refer to
Appendix _ for pin-outs
Ensure 3000LRS Aux port baud rate matches
external GPS output rate
External GPS unit not indicating differential position
Possible cause
3000LRS not receiving signal
Solution
Ensure antenna is not obscured
Ensure 3000LRS unit locked onto correct uplink
in ‘Channel Selection’ menu
Possible cause
Interconnection problem between 3000LRS unit
and external GPS unit
Solution
Ensure interconnecting cable between
3000LRS Aux port and external GPS correctly
wired
Ensure 3000LRS Aux port baud rate matches
that of external GPS unit
Possible cause
External GPS unit incorrectly configured
Solution
Ensure that external GPS unit is configured to
output NMEA (GGA GLL) message and accept
RTCM
