Hull
Inspect hull for cracks or damage.
Jet Pump Water Intake
Remove weeds, shells, debris or any-
thing else that could restrict the flow
of water and damage exhaust cool-
ing system or propulsion unit. Clean
as necessary. If any obstruction can
not be removed, refer to an authorized
Sea-Doo dealer for servicing.

TYPICAL — INSPECT THESE AREAS
1. Water intake
2. Ride plate
Inspect leading edges of the impeller,
if they have nicks or bends, perfor-
mance will be greatly reduced.
Inspect for any possible coolant leak
from ride plate.
WARNING
When operating the engine while
the watercraft is out of the water,
the heat exchanger in the ride plate
may become very hot. Avoid any
contact with ride plate as burns
may occur.
Bilge
Should water be present in the bilge,
tilt the watercraft to the rear and un-
screw drain plugs to completely emp-
ty the bilge.
Secure bilge drain plugs.
WARNING
Make sure drain plugs are properly
secured prior to launching the wa-
tercraft in water.
Battery
WARNING
Verify tightness of battery cables to
their posts and condition of battery
retaining fasteners. Do not charge
or boost battery while installed.
Fuel Tank
With the watercraft horizontal, fill the
fuel tank to specified level.
Check fuel tank retaining straps/
fasteners.
Engine Compartment
WARNING
Should any leak or gasoline odor
be present, do not start the engine.
Refer to an authorized Sea-Doo
dealer before use.
Engine Oil Level
Ensure oil level is appropriate as spec-
ified in
LIQUIDS
section. Check for oil
leaks on engine and in engine com-
partment.
Engine Coolant Level
Ensure coolant level is appropriate as
specified in
LIQUIDS
section. Check
for coolant leaks on engine, in bilge
and from ride plate.
