CONNECTING THE DISPLAY »
Once you have interconnected the displays via the RS232 ports, a unique, non-repeating ID number
must be established for each display in the system in order to be able to separately control an
individual display within the system via RS232 commands.
An Auto-ID function allows you to conveniently designate each display with an ID number based on
the order in which the displays have been connected (i.e., the first display connected to the
command computer via the RS232 port will be designated display 1, the display connected to
display 1will be designated display 2, and so on). To enable the Auto-ID function you must first
execute the following commands in the order shown below:

Prepares all displays within the RS232 daisy chain to receive
their ID (at this point all display’s IDs are still set to 0).

Gives the first connected display in the RS232 daisy chain the
ID of 1.

Gives the second connected display in the RS232 daisy chain
the ID of 2.

Gives the third connected display in the RS232 daisy chain the
ID of 3.
00 06 00 00 00 04 89 D8
Gives the fourth connected display in the RS232 daisy chain the
ID of 4.
