Parental Controls
The Parental Control feature allows you to block programs that may be
unsuitable for younger viewers. Activating the Parental Control feature involves
three initial steps: 1) Enabling a blocking PIN (a 4 digit number). 2) Enabling
blocking by channel, rating or time of day. 3) Turning on the Parental Control
feature. All three steps are covered in detail in this section. Once Parental Control
has been activated, blocked programs can only be viewed by entering a PIN.
A padlock symbol in the IPG indicates that a channel, program, or part of
a program (based on time or rating) is blocked.
When the Parental Control feature is off, an unlocked padlock symbol in
the IPG appears next to programs that would be blocked if the Parental
Control feature was on.
You can enable, change, or disable your Blocking PIN through the
General Settings menu.
Note:
If you forget your blocking PIN or become locked out of
the system, contact EATEL Customer Support to reset your PIN.
