Managing the hard disk – switching off the hard disk
The receiver is able to switch off the built-in hard disk in normal television operation if no recording
or playback is taking place. This helps to lower energy costs, reduces waste heat, and increases the
lifespan of the hard disk. The receiver also produces less noise.
If you want to record or play a programme, the hard disk will automatically switch on again. Please note
that a few seconds will elapse before the hard disk is ready for operation, and that there will be an initial
delay in the corresponding functions – recording, playback and the hard disk menu display.
You can set the time at which you want the hard disk to switch off if it is not being used. In the menu

, move the cursor using the
CH
VW
buttons onto the line

buttons to select the time at which you want the hard disk to switch off if it is not
being used
NOTE:
The hard disk swill not switch off if you select the setting “–”.
Managing the hard disk – testing the fi le system
This tests the integrity of the fi le system. In case of faults, the question “Delete recording?” will appear. If
you then press “Yes”, the recording will be deleted, if “No”, the device will attempt to repair the recording,
and afterwards the fi le system check will continue.
List of recordings
In normal operation, press the
green button
to open up the list of recordings.
Deleting recordings
You can delete recordings you no longer need from the hard disk.
Use
CH
VW
to select the programme you wish to delete.
Then press the yellow button. A security question, asking whether you really want to delete the
recording, will appear. Use the
VOL
◀
▶
buttons to select whether you really want to delete the
recording
(Yes)
or not
(No)
. Confi rm your choice with the
OK
button.
