Installation – Factory settings
This function enables you to return the receiver to its factory settings.
CAUTION:
This will also delete the list of stations and the station search will be reactivated. In the
Installation
menu, move the cursor using the
CH
VW
buttons onto the line
Factory settings
and press the
OK
button.
You will now be asked to decide whether to save the new settings
(Yes)
or keep the old ones
(No)
. Use
the
VOL
◀
▶
buttons to make your selection and confi rm with the
OK
button.
Afterwards the menus will lead you, as at the fi rst installation, through the three starting menus.
Installation – Common Interface (CI)
The rear side of the digital receiver has a Common Interface shaft. This interface, together with a
card module (CAM Conditional Access Module) and corresponding Smart Card, enables encrypted
programmes to be unencrypted.
The Conditional Access Module (CAM) can be inserted and removed while the receiver is being
operated. You can also remove or re-insert the Smart Card at any time, without having to switch off the
receiver. Please observe the module manufacturer’s instructions.
Slide the module in carefully, pressing lightly, until the contacts click into place.
After the module and the Smart Card have been inserted, the corresponding programmes can be
selected. It may take a few seconds until the programme is activated.
NOTE:
The Conditional Access Modules have their own software and menus for onscreen display.
