14. FAILURE DIAGNOSTICS
Many times, what seems to be a defect at the first look, is something that can be solved by you, without the as-
sistance of a SCHULZ AUTHORIZED SERVICE PROVIDER. If the problem continues after performing the corrective
actions below, contact the nearest SCHULZ AUTHORIZED DEALER.

Spindle does not
descend or does
not return.
Spring too tight.
Fix the spring correctly.
FSB 16 (1 turn)
Loose support of moved pulley.
Retighten the screws for fixing the
support located on the front part.
Belt(s) with a lot of tension.
Diminish the tension in the belt(s)
via the stretcher.
Return spring worn, broken or
with little pressure.
Adjust the spring or replace it.
Bit does not drill.
Incorrect direction of rotation.
Correct the connection of the electric
motor.
Loose belt(s).
Stretch the belt(s) via the stretcher.
Spindle without rotation
loose belt(s).
Increase the tension in the belt(s)
via the stretcher.
Bit badly fixed.
Fix the bit correctly.
Bit with incorrect sharpening.
See the literature about sharpening.
Drilling device is not
fixed in the spindle.
Device is incompatible with the
cone of the spindle.
Select a device in accordance with the
female/male cone of the spindle.
