The operator’s manual and safety signs affixed on
the unit contain important instructions on the safe
and proper use of the equipment. Maintain these
important safety features on the implement in good
condition to ensure the information is available to
the operator at all times.
• Ensure the manual canister is secured to the
equipment with the operator’s manual inside.
• Ensure all safety signs are in place and legible.
Replace missing, damaged, and illegible
decals.

• Ensure the implement hitch is securely
attached to the tractor drawbar with a proper
size pin.
• Ensure that a properly rated safety tow chain is
equipped securing the windrower to the tractor.
• Check that the main driveline is securely
attached to the tractor and the locking collar is
seated in the groove of the PTO shaft.
• Ensure the divider drivelines are secure at both
ends.

• Ensure the drum roller is in good condition and
rotate freely.
• Ensure the driveline integral shields are in good
condition and rotate freely.
• Inspect that all bolts and screws are in position
and are properly torqued.
• Ensure each implement slip clutch shield is
secured in place and in good condition.
• Ensure the driveline slip clutches are properly
adjusted and the friction plates are not frozen
together. Reference the Maintenance Section
for proper slip clutch maintenance.
