11.3 Raising and Lowering the Unit
When hydraulic pressure is applied to the main lift circuit the main lift cylinders will begin to retract. When the
Main lift cylinders are fully retracted, the DISC HARROW will over center and be resting on the DISC
HARROW hitch.
When hydraulic pressure is reversed, the lift cylinders will extend lowering the Disc Harrow frame.
NOTE:
The raising and lowering of the unit can be reversed at any time during the sequence without causing
problems.
11.1 Starting the Tractor
The procedure to start the tractor is model specific.
Refer to the tractor operator’s manual for starting
procedures for your particular tractor. Consult an
authorized dealer if the starting procedure is
unclear. Ensure the 3-point control lever is in the
lowered position and the PTO is disengaged before
starting the tractor.

11.2 Brake and Differential Lock Setting
Make sure the tractor brakes are in good operating
condition. Tractor brakes can be set to operate
independently allowing single rear wheel braking
action or locked together to provide simultaneous
rear wheel braking. FOR MOST DRIVING AND
OPERATING CONDITIONS, THE BRAKE PEDALS
SHOULD BE LOCKED TOGETHER TO PROVIDE
THE MOST EFFECTIVE BRAKING ACTION.
Always disengage the tractor differential lock when
turning. When engaged the differential lock will
prevent or limit the tractor from turning. During
normal conditions, locking the differential provides
no benefit and should not be used.
OPS-U-
0013_A
Be aware of the operating conditions. Do not operate the Tractor with weak or faulty brakes.
When operating down a hill or on wet or rain slick roads, the braking distance increases; use
extreme care and reduce your speed in these conditions. When operating in traffic, always
use the Tractor’s flashing warning lights and reduce your speed. Be aware of traffic around
you and watch out for the other guy.
