Native oils, e. g. cold-pressed olive or rapeseed oil, are not suitable for frying. These oils
break down under low temperatures and develop brown resin, so-called tar resin.
Rust film and extraneous rust
Particles of iron can be found everywhere in our environment, including in the drinking
water. If they are sticking to the surface of the pan, they may combine with moisture
to develop rust and damage the pan. Rust film should be removed immediately with a
suitable stainless steel polish (chemist’ s).
Safety instructions
Never heat your pan when it is empty.
If oil accidentally catches fire (fat fire), do not extinguish the fire with water. Suffocate the
flames with a suitable lid or a blanket/hand towel. Switch off the burner and leave the
heated pan to cool down. Do not cool it in cold water!
Only use appropriate heat sources (you can find corresponding instructions on the pack-
aging or on the base of the pan).
If the food is too wet, this may lead to dangerous splashes of fat.
