• In the early days of use, start at a low heat setting and work your way up to the correct
setting. To start with, heat the pan/pot at a low switch setting. When you have gained
some experience, you can heat it at a medium setting of the switch. For gentle frying a
temperature of around 160° C is sufficient, for fast frying around 200° C.
• Do not put the food in the pan/pot until the correct temperature has been reached.
You can test this by placing a small piece of butter in the pan/pot. As soon as the
bubbles tend to disappear the cookware is at the right temperature.
Important:
If the food is too moist, the hot fat may splash out and cause burns.
• Do not turn the food too soon. It only starts to brown after about two or three mi-
nutes.
• When braising always add enough liquid and place the lid on the pan/pot. A low
setting is sufficient.
• After finishing cooking, empty the pan/pot and clean it properly. Do not allow resi-
dues to dry or store fried food in the cookware.
