In case of problems with the stage identification, it is possible that connected stages have been set
to
“
FOFF
” by the controller. Therefore, the stage size of the individual stages should be checked in
the SETUP menu 100/OUt or 403 and be switched to
“AUTO”, if necessary.
Switch on the control again.
Set the setting to
“
ON
” in the SETUP menu 100/ PFC or 310.
The control can now work normally. Despite the stage recognition being switched off, the current
stage sizes are updated (power loss identification) and faulty stages are identified.

TAGE RECOGNITION IS DEACTIVATED
/
MANUAL ENTRY OF THE STAGE
SIZES
The stage sizes = stage nominal values must be entered manually, when the stage recognition is
switched off (SETUP/308 =
NO
). Otherwise, the controller will switch on and immediately switch off
stages again, because the initial value of the current stage size deviates too much from the actual stage
size in the stage database (3 var capacitive).
The stage size = stage nominal value can be entered for each individual stage in the SETUP menu 402.
The original stage size is equated with the current stage size in the stage database after entering the
stage size for a stage. The monitoring of the stage power loss is active for this stage from now on.
The CX plus continuously adjusts the current stage size to the determined value when switching a stage
on and off. The adjustment takes place softly, so that a heavy load fluctuation during the measurement
does not falsify the stage size. In this way, the power loss of a stage may be determined. The updating
and adjustment of the stage size is even active when the stage recognition is switched off.
If the controller cannot identify a mains reaction during 3 consecutive switching operations (switching
on and off = 1 switching operation), the stage is considered as faulty by the control. If the function
“
Lock
faulty stages
” is activated (SETUP/309 =
YES
), the affected stage is set to the stage type
“
Flty
” and
is ignored by the control. It is not possible to switch this stage manually. The stage symbol of the faulty
stage is flashing in the stage display on the display.
If the current transformer or the voltage transformer factor is entered, the current stage size of each
individual stage is reset to its original value (the last manually entered value).
NOTE:
The control is off and blocked, when the stage recognition is turned off. This setting remains
blocked until the current transformer factor is entered once and at least one stage size is entered
manually.
