This function cannot be transferred to
“inductive” stages the other way
round.

Distribute switching operations of the stages via the operating hours of the
individual stages
“
NO
”: The switching operations of stages of the same stage size are
distributed via the switching cycles of the individual stages.
“
YES
”: The switching operations of stages of the same stage size are
distributed via the operating hours of the individual stages.
316
Detection of defective stages
“
YES
”: The option “detection of defective stages” is activated and defective
stages will be detected by the control algorithm. A defective stage will be
deactivated immediately after detection. Subject to the condition that option
309 is activated, after 3 unsuccessful switching operations, the regarded
stage will be set to “FAULTY” and not considered by the control algorithm
anymore.
NOTE
: During the first 5 switching operations, the stage type of the regarded
stage is set to “FOFF” instead of to set to “FAULTY”. This function excludes
that unused stage outputs are treated as faulty stage outputs.
“
NO
”: The option “detection of defective stages” is deactivated and defective
stages will not be detected by the control algorithm. Activated stages will
maintain until the deviation between set point and control value tolerates a
switching operation. Hence, function 309 is ineffective, too.

ETTINGS OF STAGE DATABASE
The stage parameters are set in the stage database. When the stage recognition is switched off, the
stage size must be entered manually here for each individual stage.

Discharge time lock
1...1200 s
Here, the discharge time lock is set globally for all stages. The discharge time
lock is a blocking time which is started after switching off a capacitor stage and
is running out. This is important, so that the capacitor is completely discharged
before it is switched on again. As long as the blocking time has not run out yet,
the respective stage is not available for the control.
The discharge time lock should be adjusted to the discharge duration of the
capacitors. This depends on the discharging device.

9.9 Mvar
When the automatic stage recognition is deactivated, the stage size = stage
nominal value must be entered manually for each individual stage. The entered
stage nominal value refers to the set nominal voltage. The value is entered
individually for each switching output.
NOTE:
If the stage recognition was concluded for a stage or if the stage size was
entered manually, the current stage size with regard to the original stage size is
displayed in % in the stage database menu (INFO) for this stage.
If the stage recognition was switched off and if the current transformer factor and
no stage size has been entered manually yet, the control is switched off (
“OFF”)
and the setting is locked. The setting remains locked until the current transformer
factor is entered once and at least one stage size is entered manually. Then, the
control can be switched on again.
