10 Decommissioning and Disposal
10.1 Dismantling
Please read section 1.8 (Requirements and instructions for installation,
maintenance and operating staff) before dismantling.
Observe the instructions for safe handling (see section 4.3).

Uncontrolled movement of the scissor arm during dismantling

Before dismantling the base frame, retract the scissor arm and secure it in this
position.
Procedure:

Switch off the vacuum generator and have a qualified specialist disconnect the electrical lines.
Ensure that they cannot be switched on again

The vacuum gripper must be set down safely before it can be disassembled for safe storage (see
section 6.5).

Secure the lift tube to prevent it from falling, then remove the nuts on the rotary union.

Loosen the rotary union and slowly detach the lift tube.

Detach and disassemble the lines and hoses.

Use suitable lifting equipment to support the base frame and scissor arm (see section 4.3).

Disconnect from the industrial truck.

Set the system down on the floor.
10.2 Disposal
Only qualified specialist staff may prepare the system for disposal.
Procedure:
1. Shut the system down.
2. Detach the vacuum gripper from the hose cylinder.
3. Loosen the hose clamps and remove the adhesive tape from the lift tube.
4. Unscrew the lift tube from the hose cylinder, do the same with the rotary union, and dispose of
the materials in the appropriate manner.
5. Detach the hose cylinder, valve pipe, operator handle, and suction cup and again dispose of the
respective materials in the appropriate manner.
6. Detach and dispose of the vacuum generator in accordance with the operating instructions
supplied separately.
For proper disposal, please contact a company specializing in the disposal of technical goods and
instruct it to observe the prevailing disposal and environmental regulations.
