5.4  Attaching the Tube Lifter

WARNING

Risk of load breaking off due to incorrect mounting

Falling parts could hit people in the vicinity, causing death or serious injury!

►

The tube lifter must be mounted to the jib using the thread on the rotary union.

CAUTION

Damage to the supply hose or compressed air hose due to incorrect
mounting

Hose lines become damaged eventually resulting in system failure.

►

The supply hose or compressed air hose must hang freely. It must not touch,
rub against or get caught up in other parts, or it can prematurely wear or tear.

►

When attaching the hose lines, make sure they remain in a coil.

5.5  Setting the Hovering Position

1.  Screw the counter nuts down onto the vacuum tube

lifter's rotary union.

2.  Apply Loctite 243 (blue) thread locking compound to

the thread of the rotary union and screw it into the
jib.

3.  Lock them against the nuts already installed.

The  working  height  of  the  operator  handle

–  without  load  –  can  be

adjusted to a more ergonomic height as desired. The working height is
adjusted by turning the knurled nuts (2)

—this adjusts the idle position

of the valve.

Rotate anti-clockwise:

  Lower tube lifter

Rotate clockwise:

  Raise tube lifter
