6.7 Handling Loads
WARNING
Risk of injury from falling load
If you abruptly push the button(s) all the way in, the operator handle and
gripper will lower rapidly and the load will fall.
►
Never abruptly press the button in all the way.
►
Always press the button slowly and carefully to allow time to react to the
response from the tube lifter.
CAUTION
Risk of injury during handling
►
Always use the operator handle to move the load.
►
Maintain a safe distance.
►
Always stay behind the load in the direction of travel.
►
Ensure that the path is clear and there are no trip hazards.
►
Loads should always be transported as close to the floor as possible.
►
Adapt the transport speed according to conditions.
6.7.1 Lifting Loads
Positioning the suction cup:
1. Position the suction cup directly above
the load.
2. Press the button(s) in to the first
position.
The vacuum lifting tube of the device relaxes
and the tube lifter is lowered.
Applying suction to the load:
3. Lower the suction cup onto the load.
Ensure that the load is distributed
evenly.
4. Slowly release the button(s).
Suction is applied to the load.
The load begins to hover above the ground.
Always maintain contact with the operator
handle and button.
The load reaches its highest point when the
button has been released completely.
