3.
Locate the scotch yoke (item 17) inside the frame and position it for accepting the shaft (item 48)
perpendicularly through the bushing (item 16) of the frame. Ensuring that the shaft completely projects
through the bushing (item 16) placed in the bottom side of the actuator frame.
4.
Rotate the shaft or scotch yoke to align the hole inline for accepting the locking pin (item 18).
5.
Locate the pin (item 18) and insert it into the relevant hole of the scotch yoke (item 17) to lock with the
shaft.
6.
Lift the scotch yoke and shaft assembly and align over the bore of actuator frame.
7.
Locate the shaft seals (item 48). Place the seals careful in top and bottom of the shaft (item 9).
8.
Insert the Circlip’s (item 15) on top and bottom of the shaft (item 9).
9.
Insert the bushing (item 7) and (item 11).
10.
If the actuator is VA0 model, Insert the seal (item 26), bushing (item 11), Circlip (item 54) and external
seal (item 39) into the integrated flange on frame.
11.
Lightly grease the outside diameter of the piston rod (item 5). Install the piston rod into the appropriate
opening on the side of the frame where pneumatic cylinder is meant to be assembled.
12.
Use nylon hammer to carefully push the piston rod ensure that the piston rod enters through the scotch
yoke slot until it protrudes from the other side of the frame.
13.
Rotate the piston rod to install the pin (item 13) and sliding blocks (item 12) at the both side of the piston
rod.
14.
Lock the sliding block with two circlip’s (14) on top and bottom of the pin.
15.
Rotate the piston rod to position the sliding block (item 12) aligned with scotch yoke slot.
16.
Lightly grease the female threads on the piston rod where the screw (item 4) is going to be assembled.
17.
Locate the screw (item 4) and thread into the piston rod.
18.
Insert the screw (item 1) and nut (item 2), into the cover (item 3) for end stop adjustments.
19.
Install the cover assembly by using the four hex. Socket head screws (item 6).
20.
Set the stroke required by the actuator, rotating the screw (item 1) clockwise reduces the angular
stroke and rotating it counter-clockwise increases the angular stroke.
21.
Ensure the smooth rotation of scotch yoke and linear movement of piston rod before proceeding to
further assembly.
Note
: Frame shall not be closed with frame cover at this stage, Once the cylinder sub assembly is assembled,
the frame shall be closed (If VA1 model only).

for sectional assembly drawings)
Note
: Ensure that all parts and all necessary tools are available and are clean. Ensure the
cleanliness of the work bench.
Note
: During seal assembling, remove dust from the groove and brush with grease.
