PTP (Precision Time Protocol) Commands
Get PTP Time
COMMAND GETTIME
TYPE Get
DESCRIPTION Gets the current PTP time as used by the MPS. Time is adjusted by UTCOFFSET.
SYNTAX GETTIME
RETURNS Current Time yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss sec nnnn ns
Followed by a prompt when ready for next command.
EXAMPLE
GETTIME
Current Time 2014/2/6 0:23:52.0 sec 3335 ns 439809720

Set PTP Time
COMMAND SETTIME
TYPE Set
DESCRIPTION Sets the current PTP time as used by the MPS. Time is adjusted by UTCOFFSET.
When a grandmaster is active on the network, the time set by the SETTIME command is over
written by the grand master time in the module is configured as a PTP Slave (PTPEN == 1).
SYNTAX SETTIME <yyyy/mm/dd> <hh:mm:ss>
Where:
yyyy = Year
mm = Month
dd = Day
hh = Hours (24 hour format)
mm = Minutes
ss = Seconds
RETURNS Current Time yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss sec nnnn ns
Followed by a prompt when ready for next command.
