OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
For Electronic Polarity Reversing Control Units
WORKHOLDING AND AUTOMATION
The place of the operator is at the control desk of the machine. For setting up, start up of
the machine it must be possible to be disconnected electronically, without shutting down
the control unit.
The control unit must be protected from splash water, steams, dust and chips.
The complete control-unit is shock-proof. The state of controller will be saved after voltage
drops. After return of voltage during the set situation, the control unit will provide the set
holding force.
After voltage drops during demagnetization, the cycle will start again with the returning
voltage.
For electro-permanent magnetic chucks, the relay for machine release will open
immediately after a voltage drop and will close after the voltage returns. Furthermore, the
setting of step-regulation for holding forces will be saved for electro-permanent chucks.
The sensitive supervision for voltage peaks, losses and magnetic system is realized with
2 separate components. After detecting faults, a reset will be automatically done.
