4. About the display modes
There are three types of display mode that are displayed on the front panel.
(1) Monitor mode : Displays the measurement data under the current settings.
(2) Check mode
: Displays the current settings such as the alarm setting values.
(3) Setting mode
: Displays the current setting values such as alarm setting values for
configuration.
III-5. Operation buttons
There are four push-button switches, MODE, UP (
), DOWN (
) and BUZZER [ENT], on the front
panel.
(1) MODE
: Used to change the mode being displayed.
(2) UP (
)
: Used to increase the setting value.
(3) DOWN (
)
: Used to decrease the setting value.
(4) BUZZER [ENT] : Used to stop the buzzer sound when the alarm is output.
Also, used to confirm the setting value that has been entered (works like an
Enter key).
(5) Auto return function
: While in the check or setting mode, if no button is pressed for 60 seconds or so,
the unit automatically returns to the monitor mode. If the setting operation is not
completed within 60 seconds, the value is not changed.

III-6-1 Monitor mode
Wind speed data are displayed in the upper and lower 7-segment LEDs.
Wind direction data (wind direction indication) are displayed using the 16-azimuth red LEDs placed
around the LEDs showing the wind speed data. The 16-azimuth LEDs are always dimly lit for ease of
reading and the measured wind direction is indicated by the brightly lit LED.
Upon power-on, the unit enters the monitor mode.
* You must set either "Instantaneous" or "Mean
” wind direction by using the buttons on the front panel.
