The irrigation lines and clips distributed by SATELEC are disposable and must always be discarded after
use. Re-use of an irrigation line or clip may result in contamination of your patients. Do not attempt to
resterilize the irrigation lines. Do not attempt to modify the irrigation lines and clips.
10.2 CONTRA-ANGLE MAINTENANCE
Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for your contra-angle.
10.3 ROTARY INSTRUMENT MAINTENANCE
Please refer to the manufacturer's instructions for your instruments (burs, drills, etc.).
10.4 DEVICE MAINTENANCE
Important: Do not use an abrasive product to clean the device. Do not allow
cleaning/disinfecting spray to penetrate inside the device. The device, the bracket and the
multifunction footswitch are not sterilizable.
Unplug the main unit from power source before cleaning or disinfecting. Do not use directly on
liquids and sprays. Never immerse the unit or its parts in liquid.
External surface of the console may be cleaned with a damp cloth or disinfectant wipe. The housing
is not waterproof. Do not use ultrasonic or steam sterilizers.
The I-SURGE + control unit, the control footswitch and the bracket must always be cleaned and
disinfected after each procedure using alcohol, disinfectant agents or disinfectant wipes for dental
practices.
The exterior of the footswitch may be cleaned by wiping with a soft cloth moistened with mild detergent
or disinfecting solution.
Regular monitoring of the I-SURGE + unit is necessary in order to detect any problem.
10.5 MICRO-MOTOR AND CORD
Do not lubricate the micro motor. Do not attempt to disassemble the motor or motor connector. The
saline solution corrodes all the metal parts. Immediately remove residue.
External surface of the micro motor may be cleaned with a damp cloth or disinfectant wipe. Sterilize
micro motor with a steam sterilizer. Do not place micro motor in ultrasonic sterilizers or submerge it in
any solutions.
